To create a unique sculpture out of found objects.
During the Spring 2020 semester when classes were online, our professor had the members of the course make a sculpture out of objects found in our homes. This creative piece is very special to me because it includes the shells from my family's last vacation together before my Dad passed away. The metal piece on the bottom is from my Dad’s shop, representing my father as the base of the sculpture. I arranged a variety of shells to create an abstract floral scene, and I used wire to create tall flowers that sprout up out of the shells, representing the growth that comes from difficult times of loss.
